Strength equipment looks mechanically simple because it has fewer electronics than cardio machines, but the frame still carries substantial load. Benches, squat stands, dumbbell racks, preacher-curl stations, Roman chairs, and similar products depend on correct hardware orientation and adjustment points.
Frame and Base Assembly
Base rails, uprights, braces, and feet should be aligned before final tightening.
Some benches use several holes for incline or decline positions. The support arms and locking parts need to be installed on the correct side so the adjustment mechanism engages fully.
Pads and Upholstered Components
Seat and back pads often bolt through the frame from underneath. The pad orientation, hole spacing, and adjustment track should be confirmed before bolts are tightened against the upholstery base.
Protect finished vinyl from tools and exposed hardware during assembly.
Adjustment Pins and Moving Parts
Pop pins, ladder-style supports, sliding tubes, rollers, and leg developers need enough freedom to move without excessive play.
Substitute pins or improvised bolts should not be used in load-bearing adjustment points.
Stands, Racks, and Accessories
Barbell stands, plate trees, dumbbell racks, and simple storage attachments may be assembled with the bench project when they are separate compatible products.
