Match the TV to the Bracket
The TV’s mounting pattern and weight need to fit the bracket’s stated range. Fixed, tilting, and full-motion mounts create different loads and clearances.
A bracket that technically fits the bolt pattern may still be wrong if the weight rating, extension range, or wall conditions do not match the installation.
Choose the Viewing Position
Height should reflect the room rather than a generic number. Seating position, fireplace mantels, cabinets, windows, glare, and the expected viewing distance can all affect placement.
A full-motion mount also needs room for the screen to swing without hitting adjacent walls or furniture.
Wall Construction and Attachment
Stud framing, masonry, and other wall materials require different attachment methods.
Unknown wall construction, damaged framing, or a request to mount into a surface that cannot support the bracket may require a different plan. Concealed electrical work is not part of ordinary TV mounting.
